Olga Savage specializes in labor and employment law matters. Her litigation experience includes defending lawsuits and administrative agency complaints of wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, defamation, and wage and hour violations. She provides counseling on compliance with state and federal labor and employment law and assists in the preparation of employee handbooks, personnel policies, employment contracts and severance agreements. Ms. Savage has also represented employers in collective bargaining and union grievance arbitrations.
Ms. Savage has given presentations on emerging labor and employment law issues to employers and human resources professionals, and recently co-authored an article on workplace bullying, Defining and Legislating Bullying (The Complete Lawyer, Vol. 4, No. 1, 2008). Ms. Savage will also participate in the Practicing Law Institute California Hiring and Firing Update in March 2011.
Ms. Savage earned her Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School, where she served as Vice-President of the Mock Trial Program and the Public Interest Law Foundation, and provided free legal counseling and representation through the Immigrants' Rights Clinic, East Palo Alto Community Legal Services and the Streetlaw program.
